United Methodist Men's Club

The Men's Club meets on the first Tuesday of each month at 6:30 PM in Jenkins Hall.

Our desire is to mobilize the men of the church to serve Christ through the following ministries:
Leadership Development: Growing men spiritually to be Christian leaders in their families, their community, and their church.
Christian Fellowship:  Providing an atmosphere for Christian men's fellowship.
Service Projects:  Working in the church and the community to complete service projects, fundraisers, and other events that support the ministries and outreach of Midland UMC.

All events include prayer, fun, and lots of food.

Twice annually, the men cook BBQ in our own smoker to sell to help raise funds for the church.  To date more than $100,000 worth (roughly 25 tons) of BBQ that has helped raise more than $55,000.  The next BBQ event will take place during our Fall Festival on October 25th, 2008.

One of our main service projects is to build wheelchair ramps for area residents.  This effort began under the leadership of Ray Vinson and to date the men have completed more than 30 ramps.
